Luau held to celebrate 75 years of Alabama State Parks

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WALA) – The Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion in Orange Beach had a little Hawaiian decor Saturday night, May 24, to celebrate 75 years of Alabama State Parks.

The Gulf State Park held a luau at the pavilion as one of five special events at the Gulf State Park this year in celebration of 75 years of state park history.

The event featured fire dancers, hula dancers, and catering from Mojo’s Chicken.

Event planners said it took more than a year to plan the party, and some 304 seats were sold in advance to the event.
