Alabama Governor Robert Bentley had some lunch at Big Daddy’s Restaurant on Fish River this afternoon before beginning a tour of flood damage along that popular waterway.
Big Daddy’s was one of many businesses and homes that suffered flood damage after heavy rainfall earlier in the month.
Bentley had been in Mobile earlier in the day to attend Armed Forces Day ceremonies at Battleship Park.
Governor’s aides told FOX10News, Bentley is getting a first hand look at Baldwin County damage after the historic flooding.
On May 3, the Governor said Baldwin County had been approved for individual and public disaster assistance from FEMA. Alabama EMA Director Art Faulkner is expected to join the Governor on his tour.
