Two thousand runners were ready to be bombarded with day-glow colors of every hue at the “Color Me Rad 5K” that  began Saturday morning at the Greater Gulf State Fairgrounds.

The weather for the 5K race couldn’t have been better.  Organizers tell Fox10News the color bombs started flying at 9 a.m. “with waves of runners getting plastered with paint every few  minutes after.”

The Color Me Rad event raised money for the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of Mobile.  All ages participated in today’s activities.

Fox10News would like to thank Amanda Spiegel, Gretchen Willard and Katelin Goings for the video, photos and information on Saturday’s race.
