Gulf Shores Police said one person is being transported to South Baldwin with non-life threatening injuries after being shot on a public beach.
Police said after a large group had a verbal argument, one person was struck by a bullet after approximately five shots rang out at the public beach.
Gulf Shores Police are continuing to investigate. The only suspect at this time is a 16-18-year-old male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, who they say is still at large. Currently the east side of public beach access parking lot is shut down for detectives.
