Easter in the Squares is Saturday

The Easter Bunny will be busy filling Easter baskets Sunday, but Saturday he’ll be in downtown Mobile for “Easter in the Squares!” Carol Hunter from the Downtown Mobile Alliance tells Cherish Lombard the event is free, and it’s something the whole family can do together! Families will meet in Bienville Square at Saturday morning at 10:00 for pictures with the Easter Bunny, karaoke and to make Easter bonnets. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for kids ages 8 and younger at 11:15.

At 11:45, there’s going to be an Easter Parade! The parade will travel down Dauphin St. to Cathedral Square. After the parade, judges will award prizes for Best Easter Bonnet, Best Family Theme, Best Pet and Best Decorated Stroller or Wagon. You’re encouraged to decorate your strollers and wagons before you go downtown. Then from 12:15 – 1:00pm, your kids can enjoy face painting, egg and sack races, sidewalk art and more pictures with the Easter Bunny!
