MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Mobile Police investigators say Shamaya Wrice was arrested and charged with manslaughter in the stabbing death of her boyfriend. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Quentavious Battiste.
Officer Terence Perkins, of the Public Information Office of the Mobile Police Department, said in a press release to FOX10 News police were called out to the 1600 block of Sumner Drive around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12.
“Arrested person, 23 year-old Shamaya Wrice, was involved in a domestic dispute with the victim, her 23 year-old boyfriend, when she stabbed him with a knife causing death,” said Perkins.
Wrice was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail shortly before 2:30 a.m. Sunday. She was released about two hours later.
