MOBILE, Ala. – A Mobile man gets his shot on Jeopardy Wednesday night, April 9. Ed Hagar actually appeared on the show in late 2013.
Hagar talked to Studio Ten’s Joe Emer about the long process involved in getting on the show. Hagar said he took an online test for the show in 2012. He was contacted several months later to participate in a Mock taping in New Orleans in October 2012.
After that taping Hagar said, “When over a year went by, and they didn’t call I’d kind of given up.”
But Hagar was contacted again, and told he would get to compete on December 18 in Los Angeles.
Hagar, who works for Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi, said he had a great time. He said he jammed for his taping which he called “dramatic”, and “entertaining”.
Hagar wouldn’t give any clues as to how many episodes he taped.
“Knowing dates of presidents may play a role. I will just leave that tease,” he said.
Watch Ed on tonight’s episode of Jeopardy at 6 p.m. on FOX10.
