Before you spend your money on things like shampoo, wrinkle creams or makeup, it’s nice to know if they’re going to do what they say they’ll do! Instead of spending hours Googling different products, and reading message boards to see what other people are saying about them, just go to the Better Homes and Gardens website! Ellen Miller, the Fashion and Beauty Director of Better Homes & Gardens magazine, tells Cherish Lombard the conducted a survey with BrandSpark International, and 68% of shoppers are actually willing to postpone making purchases until they spot a good deal. So they out together a list of which products are a steal and which ones you should skip!
The Sixth Annual Best New Product Awards are voted on by consumers. Eighty-thousand consumers were asked which products they liked the most and would buy again. In addition to the winning products, the American Shopper Study uncovered some valuable shopping statistics, such as:
- 76% of American shoppers like trying new products, with 72% saying they look for new products that will make their life easier.
- Roughly 70% of Americans say they would be willing to pay more for a new product if it was better than the current selection of similar products.
- 76% of Americans say they are always looking for ways to reduce spending on everyday items and 68% say they often postpone making purchases until they spot a good deal.
- 66% of shoppers believe that research and development is regularly leading to better beauty products
