MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A handful of tornado warnings have been issued and canceled as strong thunderstorms moved through the Gulf Coast area Monday morning, April 7.
Frequent lightning is a part of the system. The National Weather Service in Mobile advises people who are outdoors to stay away from isolated high objects such as trees, and to move inside if possible.
They say to stay away from windows and doors, and to avoid using wired telephones directly connected to outside phone lines.
Meteorologists Michael White and Chasity Byrd are in the FOX10 News STORMtracker Center and will have the latest on the FOX10 Morning News and here on Fox10tv.com.
