Freeze the fat off!

Dr. Stephen Martin from The Martin Center tells Cherish Lombard hard to lose fat can be frozen off! CoolSculpting by ZELTIQ is a FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment with no downtime. Dr. Martin says CoolSculpting removes body fat without harming the surrounding tissue for tough-to-tackle love handles, muffin tops and other unwanted bulges. You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks, but the body is still flushing fat cells, and will continue doing so for up to four months after treatment.

This procedure uses a precisely controlled cooling method to target, cool, and eliminate fat cells without damage to neighboring tissue. The applicator is applied using a vacuum and once the applicator is secure the cooling begins. After a one hour procedure your body goes to work turning on systems that break down and remove fat cells. Over the next two to four months the crystallized fat cells break down and they are naturally flushed from your body through your lymphatic system. The areas treated will slowly reduce during this time.

Studies have shown that each treatment can yield about 20-25% in fat reduction. Typically, when both love handles and full abdomen are treated you may see a one to two inch decrease in the waist. After the initial treatment cycle is complete, you can attain further reductions with additional procedures. Here at The Martin Center we will discuss and design a plan that suits you best. As with all medical treatments it is important to remember that individual results may vary and therefore results cannot be guaranteed. This is a body contouring procedure and is not a weight loss program or a replacement for proper exercise and diet. Some individuals may not be candidates for CoolSculpting due to excessive weight or location of unwanted fat.
