MOBILE, Ala. – A dozen schools from southern Alabama and Mississippi show off their engineering skills in this year’s Jubilee BEST Robotics competition at the University of South Alabama.

This was the 11th year for USA’s Spring Challenge.  Seven Mobile County Public Schools participated, including Baker, B.C.Rain, and Davidson High Schools, and Calloway Smith, Semmes, and Lott Middle Schools.

To get ready for the competition the students attended several workshops at USA and worked hand in hand with university partners from the School of Computing, Colleg of Engineering, College of Business, and the University Writing Center.

The ultimate goal of the workshops and competition is to promote science, technology, engineer, and math careers.
