Trey Morgan was born and raised in Goodsprings, Alabama. He was the older of two siblings and with his father, who spent most of his life traveling for work, Trey was the “man of the house” during his father’s extended stays out-of-state. He began to pick up musical influence from his mother, who sang and played piano at their local Church for more than 30 years and from his maternal grandfather, a singer and guitar player, himself. When Trey was 12, he watched his grandfather play and sing “Almost Persuaded” and Trey was, indeed, truly persuaded – music was what he was meant to do.
For the next several years, he worked nine-to-five jobs during the week, and honed his skills and developed his craft in bars in Alabama and Tennessee on the weekends. He packed his bags in 2009 and moved to Nashville where he began playing to standing-room-only crowds and networking and co-writing with some of Nashville’s finest musicians and signed writers.
Trey’s in the final stages of his first recording project and continues to travel and play shows in Tennessee and Alabama. You can listen to Trey online at http://www.reverbnation.com/treymorgan.
