New Airbus position posted for Mobile assembly line

Airbus, in conjunction with its hiring partner AIDT, has posted open job positions for Quality Inspectors for its assembly line in Mobile, Alabama. The company is seeking one Quality Inspector Flight Line and six Quality Inspectors Final Assembly Line.

The Quality Inspector Flight Line will be responsible for planning and executing the quality activities in the Flight Line phase of assembly starting from the handover from the Final Assembly Line to the Flight Line until the final delivery to the customer.

The Quality Inspectors Final Assembly Line are responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections in the production process.

Both positions require experience with quality inspection of aircraft installations among other qualifications and a minimum of nine months training abroad.

On July 2, 2012, Airbus announced it is building an assembly line for its A320 Family of aircraft in Mobile. The groundbreaking for the assembly line was on April 8, 2013, and major construction is underway. Hiring for manufacturing jobs will continue throughout 2014.
