Escambia County investigators said James Michael Olshefskie is in jail on charges of traveling to meet a juvenile for sex, lewd and lascivious behavior and using a computer to solicit a child.
Deputies say it was a week long investigation. The 43 year-old Pensacola man was taken into custody on the morning of March 28. Seena Madison, spokesperson for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a news release, Olshefskie thought he was communicating online with a juvenile.
“Last weekend, an Escambia County Computer Crimes investigator began communication online with an individual who was soliciting a juvenile on the internet for sex,” said Maddison. “During these communications, the subject solicited the investigator for this purpose and suggested they meet for sex and also sent the investigator photos which were pornographic in nature.”
Escambia County deputies said Olshefskie went to meet what he thought was an under-age girl on March 28 at an Escambia County location. Deputies said the suspect was identified by lawmen at that location and taken into custody.
