Twitter Photo Tagging Is Here!

Twitter has announced some new features to its mobile app.   In a blog posting, the social networking company the changes are meant to make pictures more social.

Users can tag multiple people in a tweeted photo, and share up to four photos in a single tweet.

To help you, a new “Who’s in this photo?” button appears in the tweet compose screen once you’ve attached a picture.  Users can tag up to 10 Twitter users, without chipping away at their precious 140 character-message limit.

If you’re not interested in other people’s tweets, you can toggle your tagability under your account settings.  Then if you are tagged in a picture, the company will send you a notification.

And finally, you can now add multiple images to a tweet –up to four pictures at a time.  Twitter automatically makes a collage of those pictures to display them.

The multiple photos feature rolled out Wednesday for iPhone users.  But Twitter says support for Android and the web is coming soon.
