Twitter has announced some new features to its mobile app. In a blog posting, the social networking company the changes are meant to make pictures more social.
Users can tag multiple people in a tweeted photo, and share up to four photos in a single tweet.
To help you, a new “Who’s in this photo?” button appears in the tweet compose screen once you’ve attached a picture. Users can tag up to 10 Twitter users, without chipping away at their precious 140 character-message limit.
If you’re not interested in other people’s tweets, you can toggle your tagability under your account settings. Then if you are tagged in a picture, the company will send you a notification.
And finally, you can now add multiple images to a tweet –up to four pictures at a time. Twitter automatically makes a collage of those pictures to display them.
The multiple photos feature rolled out Wednesday for iPhone users. But Twitter says support for Android and the web is coming soon.
