Fairhope native, Grant Enfinger returned to Mobile International Speedway as the defending ARCA Mobile 200 and left with back-to-back crowns. Enfinger led nearly the entire race, avoiding the minor wrecks and cautions throughout the ARCA race to bring home his second ARCA title this season.
There were 11 restarts throughout the day at MIS, and each time, Enfinger led the pack, racing out in front and never looking back.
Enfinger led 185 laps, including the final 64. The race was scheduled to run only 200 laps, but an additional 4 were needed after a wreck on the second-to-last lap put the field under caution.
The Fairhope-native received the keys to the city Saturday morning and couldn’t be happier about representing his home town.
“It’s very, very special. This is the one time of the year that we can be around our friends and family. We had a lot of them out here today so my old man was at this one. He wasn’t at Daytona, neither was my mom. I can’t say enough about these guys, we had one heck of a car all day,” said Enfinger.
Mobile’s Thomas “Moose” Praytor finished 11th in the race.
