Three arrested after series of robberies, burglaries

FOLEY, Ala. (WALA) –  Three people are behind bars Thursday, March 20, after Foley Police say a repeating offender got caught via surveillance video.

Foley Police say a surveillance camera from a business across the street from the Approved Cash Advance on the south side of Foley, caught detailed footage of a getaway car used in the burglar of the cash advance business.

Police later found the vehicle and were subsequently able to arrest 40-year-old Christina Shelby as the getaway driver, and 52-year-old Larry Shoots as the burglar.

After police searched Shoots’ home, they found Shoots to have been the alleged robber of two different Dollar Generals in Foley, as well as another Approved Cash Advanced. Police say Shoots also stole from two different ATM machines in the city.

Police were also able to arrest 54-year-old James Nolan in connection with the crimes as well. He was charged with two counts of Robbery in the Second Degree and Burglary. Police also say he is the man who stole the ATM machine from Gelato Joe’s in Foley.
