SARALAND, Ala. (WALA) – Signs were torn apart and trees uprooted at the intersection of Highway 43 an Celeste road in Saraland following severe weather Sunday morning, March 16.
Folks who live in the area and own businesses there said the storm sounded like a tornado or hurricane coming through around 8 a.m.
Tree limbs were scattered in people’s yard and some parking lots had minor flooding.
One man said the advertisement that was on the billboard behind his business was torn off and is now on the ground. He said parts of his sign were tossed around from the wind and ended up in trees and down the street.
Folks were out and about surveying the damage and cleaning up.
