Pro-day kicked off in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday. The Tide had just more than a dozen players in actions, with nearly every professional scout and coach in attendance. It was an important day for former Bama quarterback, Mobile-native, AJ McCarron.
Both Saint’s Sean Payton and Philadelphia’s Chip Kelly personally said hello to McCarron and watched him throw. The QB did not re-run the 40, however – did look really good passing the ball. McCarron seemed please with his performance.
“I felt like it was good, I felt like from hearing everything about arm strength and deep outs and come backs – I feel like that should silence all that – I threw it deep early in the workout and I threw it deep late, so I felt like it was overall a good day.”
