Crestview Police conduct murder investigation


Crestview Police officers have temporarily closed South Ferdon Boulevard between Averitt Place and Duggan Avenue because they are conducting a murder investigation.

According to  a press release by the Crestview, Florida Police Department, a man was found lying on the shoulder of the roadway early Saturday morning.  He had been stabbed many times.

“It appears that the victim was walking on South Ferdon Boulevard, from and unknown location when he collapsed,” said Lt. Andrew Schneider, Public Information Officer with the Crestview Police Department.  “The victim was transported to North Okaloosa Medical Center by EMS but has since died.”

Crestview Police are handling this case as a murder investigation.  The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
