Baldwin County brings the rodeo to town

The Rotary International Club in Robertsdale hosted their 15th Annual Professional Cowboys Association (PCA) Championship Rodeo Friday night, March 7 March 7 at the Baldwin County Coliseum located in the Robertsdale Fairgrounds.

Riders from all across the country came out to compete.

“Just the adrenaline of being on the back of a bull,” said bull rider Sam Miller. “There’s no other feeling.”

Eight seconds is what they strive for, and 100 points is a perfect score.

Friday night, hundreds  showed up to watch the riders test their abilities aboard a bucking bronco or angry bull.

“I like to see tons of people just ride on bulls and I get to have a good time with my family,” said Michael Anderson, who says he loves going to rodeos.

If you missed Friday night’s fun, there’s still another night of rodeo excitement. Saturday, March 8, is the second night of the Rotary Rodeo. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for ages five through 12-years-old. Kids under five get in free.
