Abduction suspects believed to be driving Uhaul van

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WALA) – The Crestview Police Department said the vehicle believed to be used in a child abduction has been changed.

Officials said 3-year-old Emmanuel Menz was abducted by his father and mother, Karl R. Menz and Virginia M. Lynch from the Burger King on 3210 South Ferdon Boulevard.

Officials discovered the suspects had rented a 2013 Ford F250 Uhaul Van, which was believed to have been parked at the Cracker Barrel in Crestview, before the abduction.

After Emmanuel was taken from the Burger King, authorities believed the suspects went to the Cracker Barrel, and took off in the Uhaul Van. They are still unsure of the direction of travel.

The Uhaul van has an Arizona Tag of AE86502. The Uhaul Van has an identifying number of: BE5700R, and should be clearly displayed on all sides of the vehicle.

Menz and Lynch do not have custodial rights to Emmanuel, who is currently in foster care.

Emmanuel is autistic and may not able to communicate clearly.
