MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – There were people at all levels at the Thursday, March 6 workshop for America’s warriors. The day was put together by The Women’s Business Center of Southern Alabama and the Small Business Development Center at the University of South Alabama. Also teaming up with the two is the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The focus of the workshop is to teach veterans how to start small businesses. Fox10 News spoke with veterans attending the workshop and those putting on the workshop, as well as people there talking to the veterans about their success stories of starting their businesses.
One of those success stories is that of Sgt. Jennifer Clark. Clark has started a life and wellness coaching program and written her own book. She said when veterans return to the regular work force, it’s often overwhelming in trying to find a direction to go. She credits programs like this one in helping her find her path.
