CPD on the lookout for abducted 3-year-old

The Crestview Police Department is asking the public for help in locating 3-year-old Emmanuel Menz. Officials said he was abducted from the Burger King on 3210 South Ferdon Boulevard in Crestview at approximately 11:15 a.m. Thursday, March 6 during a supervised visit with the Department of Children and Families there.

Authorities said Emmanuel’s father and mother, Karl R. Menz and Virginia M. Lynch, do not have custodial rights to Emmanuel, and the child is currently in foster care.

Karl Menz and Virginia Lynch left the Burger King with Emmanuel.

Officials have released a photo of a that the suspects in the abduction are believed to be driving. It is not the actual vehicle. They say it may be displaying a Florida tag of J47 FXH. This tag may have expired in 2011.

Authorities still have not been able to confirm a direction of travel at this time.


Emmanuel is autistic and may not able to communicate clearly.
