ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WALA) – It’s one of the best jobs on the Gulf Coast.  The City of Orange Beach is hiring lifeguards and lifeguard beach patrol.

Lifeguarding allows participants to remain in top physical condition while helping to keep thousands of residents and visitors safe.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent.  Applicants must also have Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications just to name a few.  For a full list of qualifications for lifeguards, click here and for lifeguard beach patrol, click here.

Starting salary for lifeguards is just under $11 an hour and for lifeguard beach patrol is just over $13 an hour.
