Tuesday, February 25, friends of a local rapper who was gunned down held gathered to celebrate his life.
Eric Renard Davis would have turned 23 years old next week. He was shot multiple times while stopped at a red light at the intersection of Old Shell and Sage Wednesday, February 19.
Loved ones met at the scene of the crime, where they created a makeshift memorial. They also wore t-shirts in honor of their friend.
No one has been arrested for the shooting.
They’re hoping someone will come forward with information on who pulled the trigger.
“We just came together as friends because we wanted to honor Eric because what happened to him was a tragedy. He was an innocent person. I mean, he never really did anything to anybody so we want to make sure that we push for justice on his part,” said Terrell Simmons, a friend of the victim.
If you have any information about the shooting, call Mobile Police.
