A suspect has been arrested in a December 2013 homicide.
Mobile police said during the murder investigation of 28-year-old Damien Perez Adams, Demilton Simmons was developed as a suspect.
Officials said in December, they responded to a call of one shot on Jackson Road. Adams was found with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his wounds.
Authorities determined the 22-year-old Simmons was a suspect. Simmons had been out on bond for drug-related charges at the time of the murder, according to officials.
Simmons’ bond was revoked during the investigation and he was being held at Mobile County Metro Jail. A warrant was signed for his arrest, and the charge was added.
