App for Choosing Wireless Carrier

Usually when someone is thinking about switching wireless carriers, they ask around. Yesterday a new Android app launched that will figure out the best carrier for you.

It’s called Glove.  Here’s how it works: Right now it only bases results off of signal quality. You install it on your phone and let it run for three days in the background. Then it keeps tabs on where you use your phone and the network quality. Afterwards, it suggests which carrier gives the best signal based on where you use your phone the most. In the future, the app will be used for determining the best customer service and pricing.

A new survey finds Netflix customer satisfaction is at a three-year high, as the sting of a price hike wears off. In fact, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index, Netflix scored a bigger year-over-year increase than any other online retailer last year.

And, Apple announced yesterday that it will debut its first U.S. iTunes Festival. The concert series will be part of South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, according to an Apple press release. Coldplay, Imagine Dragons and Keith Urban are expected to perform. The free festival will be held from March 11th to March 15th. iTunes users will also be able to stream it on-demand via the iTunes store.
