The Mobile Police Department said the Conde Cavaliers rolled through downtown Mobile delighting the crowds ready to enjoy the 2014 Carnival Season.
Ashley Rains with the Public Information Office of the Mobile Police Department, estimated there were 74,480 in attendance Friday night.
Police responded to a total of 11 complaints, mainly arrests for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and a minor in possession of alcohol.
Mobile Police warn everyone not to cross the barricades. Fines are steep and cost well over a hundred dollars. Police say they issued eleven tickets Friday night to those who crossed barricades.
Police say eleven vehicles were towed away for illegal parking and twelve parking citations were issued. Police again want to warn parade goers to avoid parking in areas that are not allowed. Hefty fines will be issued and will have to be paid.
