A local couple was on their way to the hospital for the delivery of their new baby boy, when they had to make a detour.
Adam and Ashleigh Cleere delivered their along Moffett Road early Monday morning, February 10, 2014.
“She was screaming, ‘Pull over, pull over,’” said Adam Cleere.
Adam had just dropped off their other two sons at their grandparent’s house in West Mobile and was taking Ashleigh to the hospital when they had to pull over. Adam and Ashleigh delivered a beautiful baby boy, Zachary Adam Cleere, in their mini-van around 3:45 a.m. He weighed 9 pounds 9 ounces.
“Her water broke – less than two minutes later I was holding Zack,” said Adam.
Cleere said when they got to the hospital, doctors were surprised to see the baby already in their arms.
Little Zack just couldn’t wait.
“We will probably keep the van for awhile. It will be a, like a family heirloom, I guess. We will probably be pretty attached to it,” said Adam.
FOX10 can report that the baby is healthy and mom Ashleigh Cleere is resting at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital.
