Lisa Dotolo sings on Studio10

Lisa Dotolo was born and raised in Westerly, Rhode Island and is a graduate of Providence College. She has since moved to Nashville to pursue her singing career, and is working to have an international music career and share her talent with the world. She plays and tours with her full band and as a solo acoustic artist depending on the venue.

Lisa started her singing career when she was three years old in the church with her mother Sandra, cantoring the Catholic mass, as well as singing in the local church folk group. She is currently the lead cantor at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville. She started writing songs at a young age, and continues to write many different styles of music.

Lisa also started acting at a young age in several community theater productions in upstate New York as well as school musicals and dramas both in high school and college. Her love for the stage and acting is as passionate as her love for live musical performance. Recently, she used her musical theater skills and performed in an original holiday musical in Nashville called “Scattered, Smothered and Covered.” She hopes to one day pursue her love for the theater on Broadway and produce as well as act in a musical she has already begun to write and record.

Lisa now performs with her band in acoustic venues, coffee shops, festivals, colleges and churches. She’s currently touring nationally and promoting her second album called “Doing it all my way.” Lisa has also performed the National Anthem for professional sports teams of the NFL including the Buffalo Bills, Nashville Sounds baseball team and the Rochester Amreks hockey team. Her favorite venues are the Gulf Shores Shrimp Festival, Frank Brown Songwriter Festival and the Lilac Festival. She also enjoys playing Nashville’s famous Blue Bird Café.

Lisa owns her own indie record label called Bella Mere Records, and has also hosted a weekly music TV show in Nashville featuring talented songwriters and artists from all over the world. When she’s not touring, she continues to perform on every renowned stage in Nashville, including the Blue Bird Cafe, The French Quarter, 3rd and Lindsley, Pick’s Lounge, Commodore Hotel, Hotel Indigo, Loewe’s Vanderbilt and others throughout Nashville and surrounding areas. Her influences include Sting, Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Natalie Merchant, Emmylou Harris, Shania Twain, Eva Cassidy, Lou Gramm, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Charlie Louvin, Johnny Cash, Madonna and Liza Minnelli just to name a few. Lisa enjoys performing her original songs in a live concert setting the most and hopes to continue to tour making fans globally.
