For the past few days, you may have noticed that your Facebook newsfeed has been showcasing a lot of those “look back” videos that Facebook made to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary.
Everyone isn’t happy about the pictures that Facebook chose for their video. Maybe it features too much of an ex, or an unflattering photo. Well, Facebook has heard the complaints and is working on an edit tool that would allow you to pick alternative pictures. Facebook says it doesn’t have exact timing at the moment, but this will let people remove a post from the movie and change it to a different one.
That Radioshack commercial that ran during the Super Bowl is turning out to be a little too close to reality. In it, a Radioshack store was torn apart by eighties icons — and quickly rebuilt. It appears only the first half of that equation will happen to some stores! The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Radioshack will close around 500 stores in the next few months. It’s part of a restructuring plan. Radioshack has about 43-hundred stores around the U.S.
And, Apple suddenly pulls a popular bitcoin app out of its mobile marketplace. The Blockchain app was the most popular way for people and companies to transfer bitcoins to each other. Apple removed the app from its store Wednesday without explanation. Blockchain immediately shot back with a statement accusing Apple of getting overly aggressive with future competitors. Apple is rumored to be developing its own mobile payment system.
