One mom said she is still in disbelief after she was asked to leave the courtroom at the Child Support Court in downtown Mobile yesterday afternoon.
Jeanna Harris said she began breast feeding her baby when a security guard walked up to her and asked her to leave the room. She said she told the security guard it was her right to breast feed in public, but after a brief argument with the guard, she agreed to leave the room.
Alabama Law does state that it is legal to breast feed in any public place.
Harris said she was not showing any skin while breast feeding, only her baby’s head was visible.
Harris says she plans to attend a “nurse-in” downtown on Tuesday, April 1.
