Superhero Skedaddle held at USA

Superhero Skedaddle

Batman, Superman and more of our favorite super heroes raced to the finish line for a good cause this morning.

Today, the class of 2014 at the University of South Alabama hosted the “Superhero Skedaddle” 5K Fun Run at the University’s Intramural Fields along the Swamp Loop Course.

Katie Delaune, Chairman of the event, told Fox10News, 220 people competed.  “Superheroes of all ages came out to support and run with us,” said Delaune in an email Saturday afternoon.  “It was a really great day. We held our silent auction, had food, and children’s activities.”

The Superhero Skedaddle was a fund-raiser for the class of 2014 as well as for the Goodwill Easter Seals.  Runners were encouraged to dress up as their favorite super hero or wear their favorite costume.

Fox10News wants to thank Katie for sending us photos of today’s event.  We will have more on the Fun Run tonight on Fox10News at 9 p.m..
