After quite a week we will see a big difference for the upcoming week. Before we get into that though let me run down some of the amazing numbers from what was one of our coldest January’s ever!
Icy January of 2014
- 19 Mornings Below Freezing
- 10 Mornings 25° or Below
- 3 Mornings in the Teens!
- 1/28 “The Great Ice Storm”
- 1/29 Iced Over With a High of 31°
Moving Into February
Now that we are in February things are changing. Milder temps were felt everywhere this weekend. Morning lows will be in the 50s Sunday with dense fog likely in areas. Should be a fairly grey day for Sunday overall with clouds building out ahead of another system. Temps will be quite warm, topping 70° in many spots.
Rain with this system is most likely overnight Sunday into Monday morning. A few showers may linger for the morning commute though. Not much cold air behind this system so we will stay mild through midweek.
Wednesday Cold Front
A cold front Wednesday will bring some rain showers as well. Behind this system there will be a push of cooler air, but nothing too drastic. Mid to upper 30s for morning lows are expected Thursday and Friday.
