Peyton Manning, the duck commander?

When it comes to quarterbacks in the NFL, there’s arguably none better than the Broncos’ Peyton Manning. The decorated signal caller broke the NFL single season record for touchdown passes in 2013, with 55. He led the NFL regular season with 5,477 yards. Impressive numbers, right? Not everyone thinks so. Seahawks cornerback, Richard Sherman criticized Manning’s arm, stating that he’s throws “weak” and throws many “ducks”. (A duck in football is a poorly thrown ball with no spiral)

Manning commented on Sherman’s critical statements:

“I believe it to be true. They say he’s a smart player and I don’t think that’s a real reach what he’s saying there,” Manning said Thursday morning. “I do throw ducks. I’ve thrown a lot of yards and touchdown ducks, so I’m actually quite proud of it.”

In my opinion – if Manning throws “ducks” – he should be considered the “duck commander.”

Manning matches up against Sherman and the Seahawks this Sunday in the Super Bowl XLVIII, kickoff is set for 5:30 on FOX10.
