Officials in Escambia County, Alabama are preparing for the first signs of the winter storm.
David Adams, Escambia County EMA Director, says winds have increased and temperatures have dropped considerably.
Adams says while no precipitation has been spotted, they had reports from Choctaw County, Alabama of freezing rainfall.
He says workers were out today making final preps and storing necessary items.
Officials in Choctaw County have already begun closing roads and bridges. Adams says they are keeping a close eye on when to begin as well.
