Second Arrest in Car Robbery

Joshua Cody Day

Mobile Police say the second suspect in a bizarre car robbery is in the Mobile Metro Jail.  Investigators say Joshua Cody Day is under arrest in the case of a man who was hit over the head with a flower pot during a car robbery.

The 19 year-old was arrested Friday afternoon on several charges including robbery and assault.

Ashley Rains, of the Public Information Office of the Mobile Police Department, said on January 14, police were called to a home on Lee Curt West in reference to a robbery.

“As officers arrived on the scene, they found a male victim beaten and covered in blood,” said Rains in a press release to Fox10News.  Rains said the victim said he was attacked by two men, struck in the face with a flower pot and beaten.  “The victim advised his wallet and keys to his car were taken in the attack,” said Rains.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The first suspect arrested in the case was Terry Wood.  He was also charged on robbery and theft charges.  Wood is the younger brother of missing mother Brittney Wood.

This case is not related to the continuing investigation into  Brittney Wood’s disappearance.
