Hundreds of folks are parked over at Ladd-Peebles Stadium Friday night, January 24, gearing up for Saturday’s Senior Bowl.

Despite the freezing rain and extreme temperatures, tailgaters have been having a great time.

Just take a walk around the parking lot at Ladd-Peebles Stadium and all you see are RV’s left and right, creating a tailgating community.

Keith Waters has been tailgating the Senior Bowl for some 11 years, and he wouldn’t let the cold stop him this time.

“We’re here to have fun! It’s cold, but we’ve been doing it for years,” said Waters.

Cory Pittman and his work friends have also been tailgating at the Senior Bowl for several years. He says it’s a great football vacation.

“We were down here about noon today to start,” said Pittman, “We brought the campers and trailers down Thursday, and we’ll be here all night, all the way through Sunday morning leaving.”
