In 2013, an application to the FCC for a new radio station in Mobile was a mere thought. Soon, it will become a reality for the young student-run radio station, The Prowl.

Formerly known as JagRadio, The Prowl offers unique and original programming from students at the University of South Alabama.

Recently, the station was awarded 97.1 FM and is now in waiting for a construction permit to build the FM tower.

The approximate cost of building is $25,000 and should take a month or so to complete.
