The Search is on for Alabama’s Outstanding Senior Volunteer! Jackie Woodward, with Home Instead Senior Care of Mobile, tells Cherish Lombard every day, Alabama senior volunteers generously give their time and service to help others. This is your opportunity to give them the recognition they deserve by nominating someone 65 or older who has inspired you.
The Salute to Senior Service program is sponsored by Home Instead, Inc., the franchisor of the Home Instead Senior Care(r) network, and recognizes the invaluable contributions of adults 65 and older who give at least 15 hours a month of volunteer service to their favorite causes.
Members of the community are asked to nominate and vote for through March 1st at http://www.SalutetoSeniorService.com. State winners will be determined by popular vote. A panel of senior care experts will then select a national Salute to Senior Service winner from the state honorees.
Home Instead, Inc. will donate $500 to each of the state winners’ designated and approved nonprofit organizations, and their personal stories will be shared online on the Salute to Senior Service Wall of Fame. In addition, $5,000 will be donated to the national winner’s designated and approved nonprofit charity.
