Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn is expected to be at Wednesday’s Senior Bowl South practice. Practice began at 1:30 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, and Malzahn was expected around 2:30.
This season, Malzahn received six post-season national coaching awards, including the College Coach of the Year, after the historic turnaround season he orchestrated at Auburn in his first year as head coach.
Malzahn led the Tigers to the BCS National Championship game, where second-ranked Auburn fell to undefeated Florida State. Just a year prior, the Tigers finished the season 3-9, winless in the SEC.
There are many topics Malzahn could address today at the Senior Bowl. A main one involving two Auburn players he has on the Senior Bowl South roster: DE, Dee Ford and FB, Jay Prosch. Malzahn will likely address the status of his signing class for the 2014 season.
