FOX10 News is following some stunning developments following the Baldwin County School Board meeting on Thursday night, January 17, 2014.

The board was planning to vote on the termination of Orange Beach Elementary Principal Lori Bracato. She spoke before the board voted and made a stunning allegation against Baldwin County School Superintendent Dr. Alan Lee.

FOX10 News was told no one knew this statement was coming, but Bracato told school board members she was being fired because she turned down sexual advances from Dr. Lee.

Bracato was placed on administrative leave in December 2013 for what school officials called performance issues. The board did vote to terminate Brocato.

Dr. Lee was also at the meeting and denied the allegations.

FOX10 News tried contacting officials with the school system Thursday night, and we have tried to contact Dr. Lee, but we have not gotten a response.

We did get a response from one school board member who would just say that the board members did not know about Bracato’s statement before the meeting. He said to expect a statement from the board sometime on Friday.

So far, no action has been taken against Dr. Lee.

School system spokesman Terry Wilhite said the system will look into an independent investigation.

FOX10 News is continuing to stay on top of this story and bring you updates as more information comes to light.
