A Mobile County judge has revoked the bond for a man charged in two violent confrontations last month.
Andrew Byrd was in court Wednesday morning for a preliminary hearing on assault charges after police say three security guards were stabbed at a downtown nightclub last month.
We first told you about Byrd when Mobile County Sheriff’s Officials said he shot at another from his truck in Mount Vernon, and a car with two children was caught in the crossfire.
No one was hurt, but Judge Jay York ordered Byrd to Metro Jail Wednesday.
Byrd’s attorney, Jeff Deen, said, “He’s a hard working young man: high school degree, graduated with honors, from a decent family. (I) hate to see him locked up on some allegations against him. They are serious, they are serious. The judge has to consider that. I was hoping he could stay out and keep working.”
Both cases have now been sent to a grand jury.
